Ling Tosite Sigure (Rin Toshite Shigure) is a alternative rock band from Saitama,
Japan. It also has some hardcore influences. The three members play instruments
on a very advanced level. Characteristics of their music are their high voices
and screams. The guitarist Toru "TK" Kitajima likes to mess around with a whole
bunch of effect pedals and stuff. He usually uses flanger, fuzz, delay and
sometimes distortion pedals. Also some effects that are similar to pitch shifters
or whammy pedals, but they have their own unique sound, so I don't know how to
name them.
NOTE:
This always has been one of my favorite songs by Ling Tosite Sigure.
I like to play it because it has a very catchy rythm.
The guitar parts themselves are not that hard. They might be difficult because
they sound very different from each other. Also, there a very often abrupt
and unexpected changes of the tempo. In order to play that song 100% album-like
you definitely need a flanger/chorus pedal.
